Design International is a one week intensive workshop organised at the end of every academic year in the design school at UQAM. It is a great opportunity for professors to invite a designer and work on a subject linked to his/her practice.
In May 2023 I had the great pleasure to receive Emile De Visscher and put together a project exploring potential usages for its well know Polyfloss (https://www.thepolyflossfactory.com/).
Within a week, students designed, developed and have exhibited various interesting concepts made from Polyfloss, going from insulation bricks to monomaterial pencils or petrol filtering systems.
